Research Opportunities
The Biology Department does not have a central database of research openings. However, please see the Research tab on the top menu on our website and contact the lab directly.
In addition to the Biology department, other UNC departments are heavily involved in biological and biomedical research. These departments are mostly affiliated with the UNC Medical School or UNC Hospitals. The list below is a sample of the research opportunities available at UNC:
The Biological & Biomedical Sciences Program (BBSP) has several research opportunities: http://bbsp.unc.edu/research/
The UNC Office of Undergraduate Research also offers research openings across campus: http://www.unc.edu/depts/our/for_students.html
UNC Med School & College of Arts & Sciences IBGS: Integrative Program for Biological & Genome Sciences
Please note that you are not limited to doing research on campus. Numerous opportunities are available in the area for biology-related research: Research Triangle Park, Duke University, Lineberger Cancer Center, Carolina Tiger Rescue, etc.
