On behalf of the Department of Biology at UNC Chapel Hill, it is my pleasure to invite you to visit and give a seminar on a topic of your choice during Fall ____ or Spring ____.

 

Our department is a broad-based Biology Department with strengths in areas as diverse as model systems genetics, cytoskeletal cell biology, physiology, evolutionary mechanisms, and community ecology. Your work is outstanding in its appeal to biologists from diverse disciplines, and thus should interest just about everyone in our department.  Faculty, postdocs, grad students and some undergraduate researchers from diverse areas of Biology attend seminars, so we look for people who can speak to diverse groups, which is in part why you were selected. As you may know, there is a particularly active group of ____________ researchers here at UNC that would love to hear you speak, including ______, ______, and ______.  In addition, faculty and students from nearby Duke University and NC State University often attend our seminars.
