Biology Study Abroad

Biology majors are encouraged to consider study abroad through various programs organized by the UNC Study Abroad Office

UNC had a joint degree agreement with (NUS)  National University of Singapore.  For more information: http://studyabroad.unc.edu/nusjdp/index.cfm  Biology course worksheet for NUS:  http://studyabroad.unc.edu/nusjdp/biology.cfm

One of these programs, designed specifically for science majors, is the Trans Atlantic Science Student Exchange Program (TASSEP), which permits students to receive full credit for courses taken at a European university.

Study opportunities are available in the Galapagos Islands:  http://www.galapagos.unc.edu

Additional study abroad opportunities are offered on the Go Abroad.com website:  http://www.goabroad.com/study-abroad/search/biology-general/study-abroad-1

Within North Carolina, you may consider the opportunities available at the Highlands Biological Station in the southern Appalachian mountains or on the North Carolina coast at the UNC Institute for Marine Sciences:  http://ims.unc.edu

A great resource for funding can be found here: http://cgi.unc.edu/awards
