Campus-wide Celebration of Undergraduate Research Each year the university sponsors a full-day symposium celebrating undergraduate research on campus. We encourage all undergraduate students doing research in biology to participate. Honors students can modify their Biology Symposium talks for the more general audience at the campus-wide symposium, and commendation students can present their research posters. The campus-wide symposium is typically held two to three weeks after the Biology Honors symposium in the spring, but requires earlier registration.
Research in the Capital Each year UNC-CH selects a group of students to join students from the 15 other campuses in the UNC system to present their research, in poster format, at a one-day symposium held in Raleigh at the state legislature. The symposium helps to highlight the role that undergraduates play in university research. The symposium is held in mid-April but requires earlier application.
