Ceremony = 6:00 – 7:30 PM in Carmichael Arena

Reception = 7:30 – 8:30 PM on Hooker Fields

There is only ONE Biology Graduation Ceremony held each year in May.

Registration database:   Please registrar here:

This registration database will close at 5 PM on Friday, May 3, 2019.

Registration:  Graduating seniors MUST register if you plan to attend the ceremony so that we can have a seat and a certificate for you.  Each senior’s name will be called, you will walk across the stage (please wear your cap and gown) and you will receive a Certificate of Congratulations from our Biology Chair, Dr Kerry Bloom.

This is a ceremonial event only. Please note that we do NOT give out diplomas.  Participation in this event does not validate the completion of your degree.  Only the Chancellor can officially confer your degree at the UNC Commencement Ceremony the day after our ceremony.

Please note that the ceremony will NOT be filmed or live-streamed.

You do NOT need to respond in the database if you are not attending the ceremony.

Sorry – we are not able to mail certificates to those who aren’t able to attend the ceremony.
