Transfer Credit Evaluation — Incoming Students

The Office of Undergraduate Admissions is responsible for evaluating and awarding transfer credit for transfer students who have been accepted at UNC. In general, credit is awarded for an academic course with a grade of C or better from an accredited institution if Carolina has a similar, equivalent course.  Please see the UNC Transfer Credit web page for more information.

NOTE that UNC Admissions, Academic Advisors  and Department Advisors are NOT able to evaluate transfer credit for students who are not yet accepted as UNC students. Resources are provided for prospective students on the UNC Transfer Equivalencies web page.

Transfer Credit Evaluation — Current Students

Current students that would like to have additional transfer credit applied toward their degree at Carolina, either because they believe an error was made in their initial evaluation for transfer credit or because they want to take another class outside UNC for credit, must make a request electronically. Find information about when and how to make such requests and links to the electronic request forms at this Transfer Credit Evaluation page.

Transfer Student Advising

Currently enrolled UNC students who have for Biology transfer credit questions, contact Academic Advising. Make sure to include your PID number in your email.
